Since 1993, Fundación Botín has awarded Fine Arts Grants each year, aimed at artists of any nationality. Each grant provides funding of 23,000€ and promotes and supports those artists who need resources to carry out a research project or training. The result of this process is displayed in the Itinerarios joint exhibition and in a catalogue.

Who can apply

6 Visual Arts Grants meant to support individual art projects that may consist of training (academic or not), research (non academic) and production. Artists of any nationality may apply.

One of these grants will be given in priority to Spanish artists or residents at least five years prior to the application to this grant, under the age of 30 who have a concrete project of relocating abroad to carry out their project (training, research and production).

Application Period

Submissions closed. The restrictions on travel between countries due to COVID19 and the difficulties that this entails in carrying out the projects submitted to the scholarships has resulted in the closing of the submission process until the conditions are adequate.
