The Aglomeración sculpture series can be understood, according to the artist, as “a sequence of sculptural signs; that is, the transformation of linguistic or visual signs which, once rendered as volumes, function as cognitive signals in space. The use of a very specific colour palette and the inclusion of RAL codes in the titles of the works refer to this idea.”
These pieces — which recall logos, grammatical symbols, amphitheatre layouts, and industrial furniture — seek to inhabit the limits of linguistic recognition in order to reemerge as affective signs.
