Eva’s drawings enable a play of scale and color that is difficult to achieve in physical space, which is constrained by gravity, the artist’s own body dimensions, or the properties of the materials used. In two-dimensional space, however, Eva freely juxtaposes macro and micro environments, creating unexpected relationships between elements that typically exist separately. The idea of touch is present in these works, which evoke a desire to be touched despite their flat, two-dimensional nature.
