Verb that triangulates, Torque II and Attente form an installation arranged in a triangular layout that reorganizes the space and conditions the visitor’s path. Its non-frontal, non-symmetrical disposition forces one to move around the volume, directing and blocking passage. From its sharp edge, lines of tension are projected that segment the visual field, creating blind spots that fragment a total vision into a single instant.
The torque—an Anglo-Saxon term translated into Spanish as “torsional force”—plays into the formal articulation of a choreographic grammar in space that channels exercises of power and tension. On the architectural structure, geometric volumes are generated by twisting planes until they reach forms that are not entirely closed. The organic line—the space that opens up between the elements—reveals how two dimensions become three, adopting a topological condition as a form of the void. These voids escape legibility and invite metaphorical elaboration.
