Swinging Spiral, 2010

This corridor shaped as a spiral, along with its counterpart in the other path of the exhibition—Swinging Curve (2009)—is suspended from the ceiling, and lies just a few millimetres above ground, so that it keeps moving almost imperceptibly but constantly, creating a sense of distortion. A mathematical formula also predicates the design of these two works. As one advances though Swinging Spiral, the space tends to diminish in a counter-exponential fashion, as the height of the ceiling increases . The visitor ends in a small and tall, dark and concealed space.
